Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me and my love of clay!
I live in a cabin nestled in the woods of the South Carolina low country with my husband and five children. Though we are currently in the process of building a "proper" studio, every piece I make is made in the hub of our home, the dining room! I spend hour after after hour working at our kitchen table as my family buzzes around me. All of my pieces are one of a kind and each piece is made by hand from start to finish using porcelain clay. As you can probably tell, I enjoy spending my time meticulously piercing and/or adding intricate texture to my work - vases, bowls, and sculptural pieces. This method of working is a constant reminder to me of God, our Creator, who made everything, including you and I, with such intricate order and design.
"But now, O Lord, You are our Father, we are the clay and You are our Potter; we are all the work of Your hand." (Isaiah 64:8)
I am committed to making work that is intentional, elegant, and intricate. I can't thank you enough for allowing my work to become a part of your home. It is a true honor that I do not take lightly and that I am forever thankful for.
Many blessings to you,
